Recently, four industry experts from Beijing convened a specialized technical symposium to address the challenges of reducing water hardness in aerospace gasification furnace effluent. The discussion focused on ensuring stable equipment operation and achieving compliance with discharge standards, thereby supporting green production within the aerospace gasification system.

The wastewater from aerospace gasifiers is characterized by a complex composition and relatively high water hardness. Prolonged operation can lead to scaling in pipelines, equipment blockages, and reduced heat-transfer efficiency, directly compromising the stability and operational cycle of the entire gasification system—making it a persistent challenge in the industry.

During the workshop, the expert panel engaged in in-depth discussions, drawing on site-specific operating conditions and cutting-edge water‑treatment technologies. They addressed key issues such as optimizing high‑hardness wastewater treatment processes, upgrading decalcification schemes, selecting appropriate chemical agents, and promoting resource recovery and reuse. The team systematically analyzed the shortcomings of existing processes, compared and evaluated the feasibility of various decalcification technologies, and proposed multiple cost‑effective, stable, and implementable optimization measures, thereby clarifying the direction for subsequent technological upgrades and retrofits.

This expert‑consultation‑style technical seminar successfully addressed the key technical bottleneck in treating hard water in aerospace vaporization furnace wastewater, providing robust technical support for the equipment’s long‑term stable operation, reduced O&M costs, and enhanced environmental protection. Moving forward, Qinhuangdao Tonglida Environmental Protection will continue to implement and refine optimization measures, further improving its industrial wastewater treatment processes to achieve dual‑pronged optimization of production and environmental sustainability.
